We fund organizations with strong and effective leadership that prepare children and youth from low-income households for fulfilled and productive lives.
The Morris Stulsaft Foundation is only accepting applications from returning grantees at this time.
General Guidelines
-
Grants are geographically limited to organizations headquartered in and serving the counties of Alameda, Marin, San Francisco, and west Contra Costa.
-
The Foundation does not award grants to individuals or independent schools.
-
The Foundation does not support conferences, events, endowments, fund development, or deficit reduction.
-
The Foundation does not support psychological services to individuals or case management services.
-
The Foundation considers capital requests by invitation only.
-
The Foundation may request to make a site visit to a program or invite an applicant to present to the Board.
-
Only one request from an organization will be funded in a 12-month period.
-
After three consecutive years of funding, an organization must take a one-year break before submitting a new application. Please note that receiving one grant is not a commitment to future funding.
-
A grant report is due on the deadline listed in your grant letter unless you are reapplying for funding. If you are reapplying, the foundation no longer requires separate grant reports for active grantees. The application form will include questions about your previous year of funding before proceeding to narrative questions regarding your renewal request.
